Merge Sites

The merge sites feature enables you to copy or move tasks from one website to another. This is perfect for when you are moving a staging website to live but you’d like to keep all of your previous tasks while working.

In this article we’ll take you through where to find merge sites and how to use it.

Getting There

To get there, first we need to go the websites screen inside the Atarim Dashboard.

Then click on the menu in the top right of the screen.

Where you’ll see the option to merge sites.

This will then bring up the pop-up to get started!

Copying Or Moving Tasks

When you first open the merge sites pop-up, the default setting is to copy tasks.

NOTE: Copying tasks will keep the original tasks on the website you are copying from and put them on the new website.

First we need to choose where we are copying from, but clicking on “Choose a site”. You will not be able to choose the website you are copying to until you do this.

Here you’ll see the name of the site, the URL and how many tasks are currently on it.

Once selected, we’ll confirm how many tasks are inside this website. Now it’s time to choose which website we want to copy this tasks to.

We’ll also confirm how many tasks are on this site too. Once we’ve ready, click “Migrate Tasks”.

This will take you to another pop-up so you can confirm that this is the action you want to take. Once you are happy with your select, click on “Copy Tasks”.

We can now see this websie has 57 tasks, from the 53 tasks that we copied over!
